I Love Rosie, as My Partner Says, whatever Rosie Does, I love. A Variety Show, I thought it would maybe pick up speed, it was Funn.. it was not Great, But We love Rosie and we Enjoyed it. Today The Headlines Read that Rosie is Not Going to Continue the Show, too bad.

“There will b no more,” she wrote on her Web site. “No ratings, bad reviews. Yet still — a thrill 4 me.”

But with other similar efforts on the way from Ellen DeGeneres, the Osbournes and a rumored project from pop musician John Mayer, she said her take on the variety show won’t be the last.

She may find out sooner rather than later — Ellen’s show, “Ellen’s Even Bigger Really Big Show” airs on Saturday night on TBS.

We are Sooo Ready to See Rosie again. We truly missed her when she left the view... Can't wait to see her show tommorro.

What it's about: This variety hour is actually even more of a potpourri than the form normally suggests, with song and dance (Rosie opens with a number from Minnelli's "The Act," in which Minnelli also performs); sketch comedy; a "spectacular array" of guest celebrities (per the press release); and even a "prime-time giveaway," in which members of the audience at New York's Little Shubert Theatre and at home win "prizes." (Note: "Oprah's Favorite Things" telecast also airs Wednesday.)

Some of the stars in the house include Kathy Griffin, Jane Krakowski and Alec Baldwin. Said O'Donnell in a conference call the other day, the ladies are "going to do prepared comedic segments with me that are not really sketches in the vein of 'Mama's Family' [from "The Carol Burnett Show"], that are more along the lines of the sit-down panel on 'The Tonight Show,' only standing up and performing."

Bottom line: This will be either a fiasco or a fun and worthwhile flop. But generating hit numbers the night before Thanksgiving? If that happens, I will eat the Little Shubert, brick by brick. "Bon appétit, Gay," you may say, but I'm still going with the fun-flop theory.

Minnelli's presence — however wonderful and intriguing that will doubtless be — is basically a promotional warm-up for her "Liza's at the Palace!," which opens next week. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.) Krakowski/Baldwin/Griffin? NBC (and Bravo) in-house promos. Whatever. Here's the standout problem. Gifted, funny and smart as she may well be, Rosie is her opinions, and her opinions, are her. She's a talk-show doyenne — not a variety doyenne.

With each passing year, New Orleans continues to redefine itself in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. And now Rosie O’Donnell has lent her support to the city’s arts community by executive-producing a documentary titled “After the Storm.”Directed by Hilla Medalia, the film centers on a group of New York actors who go to New Orleans to stage a community center production of “Once on This Island” with a cast of local teenagers.As auditions and rehearsals move along, the young actors involved share their struggles over the loss of family and friends as well as the diminished economic opportunity they face in their hometown.Still in production, look for it soon at festivals before it finds its eventual wider audience on cable.

When you’re on this boat for a week, by about day four, it becomes the norm, and you start to assume you’ll always be in Utopia, with the same people and the same organic atmosphere (I know, this is an oxymoron being on a cruise ship).

Washington , Jan 16 (ANI): Outspoken actress-turned-U.S. TV personality Rosie ODonnell, fears that Britney Spears will suffer the same fate as Princess Diana, if she will be constantly hogged by the paparazzi.
O’Donnell warned in her daily online blog that Spears will die trying to flee the press mob that follows her every move.
Diana was killed in a car crash in Paris in 1997 as she attempted to get away from the paparazzi chasing her.

I hope so, we Need Rosie on TV. She keeps the questions on the table. I can’t wait to see Rosie being her own boss again.

Rosie is Supposedly negotiating a prime-time talk show
on MSNBC five days a week.

It sounds like everything is still in negotiations, we will see what happens.

The reports suggest that Rosie O'Donnell may take over the 9 p.m. slot currently occupied by "Live with Dan Abrams." That would put her show in competition with CNN's "Larry King Live" and Fox News Channel's "Hannity & Colmes." Isn’t that ironic.

Great Job Rosie, We all can’t wait to hear what you have to say.

Rosie O'Donnell: Shocking Revelations in New Book
Rosie O’Donnell used to break her own limbs with either a baseball bat or a wooden hanger when she was a child.
This revelation, as well as many about her experiences on "The View" last year, is contained in a new book she’s written due shortly called “Celebrity Detox.”
This personal memory, so shocking, is almost thrown toward the end of what is better described as a long essay than a short memoir.
All the proceeds from “Celebrity Detox” are going to Rosie’s charity, by the way. So it’s not like she’s putting her most painful personal
memories on sale for self-aggrandizement.
But reading this passage is heart-breaking. Rosie,
who lost her mother at age 10, felt she couldn’t

get attention or sympathy otherwise.

She broke her own bones, she recalls, “my hands and fingers usually. No one knew. It was a secret.” She used a Mets baseball bat she got on bat day or the hanger. Why? It was “proof I had some value, enough to be fixed.” She recalls that she was no longer sad about her mother’s death, but “distracted.”
Rosie also dangles another clue about her childhood in two sentences. “There were many benefits to having a cast. In the middle of the night, it was a weapon.”
Why she would need a weapon in the middle of the night is not addressed.
Most of “Celebrity Detox,” which a source supplied to me Tuesday, is about Rosie’s life — her mother, her kids, her life before and after "The View."
And a good part of it deals with her rocky relationship with Barbara Walters. O’Donnell chronicles the year she spent with Walters in some unsparing details.
And while there are substantial revelations of their constant warring, Rosie also concludes that she and Barbara are on better terms now.
But that’s not how it was while they were stuck together in front of cameras and an audience. She writes about her observations of Walters’ aging, her “tiredness,” she says, at age 77.
She recalls a shouting match backstage in which she called Walters a “liar” over and over for not defending her when Donald Trump came on the attack. She calls Trump a “gelatinous … slug.”
O’Donnell recalls several startling moments with Walters, who she says came to resent her quickly after Rosie joined "The View."
“During the commercial, people scream ‘I love you Rosie,’” O’Donnell writes. “And Barbara tells them in a schoolteacher tone, ‘It is impolite to say I love you to one person when there are four of us up here.’ Then a stony silence sets in.”
"Celebrity Detox" is a slim volume, be warned. A lot is left out. My reading of it is that O’Donnell wanted to make a more formal statement of what happened to her during this ignominious year. But it also contains her take on celebrity and fame and how they affected her family life.
“As I slipped back into celebrity land,” Rosie writes of her return to daytime TV, “the tasks multiplied a thousandfold, and the letters addressed to me but having nothing to do with the real me — the mother me, the married me, the friend me — the letters addressed to the celebrity me began to pour in again. … I had gone four years living alone and now my mailbox was overflowing and people were telling me I was fantastic, the funniest, the happiest, the brightest. ...
“How best to explain this? It is a shift that happens in the head and that very few celebrities will ever really speak about. … One begins to believe in the specialness, and a dangerous sense of entitlement takes over. … When celebrity addiction starts, you become impatient with, and even angry at necessary obstacles. You think could run a red light or two. And then you do.”
“Celebrity Detox” — a brave little book by a brave woman, I think. Bravo!

So as you most likely know Rosie is in the Spotlight again. Apparantly she feels Barbara should move on. I agree, Barbara is awesome but at what point do you kick back and enjoy life. However, I guess Barbara is doing what she loves. Rosie is not taking anything from anyone, she is our rock, and can always be counted on for an honest opinion that I most always agree with.
